Highway 62
This in my opinion is one of the best highways in the Golden State. It starts just outside of Palm Springs sending you west through the high desert, eventually leaving you at the Arizona border. One of my favorite road trips happened on and around this highway. With some Hank Williams Sr., some cowboy boots, and my favorite guy we lost ourselves in the desert for a weekend exploring Pioneertown, Joshua Tree, and the Salton Sea.
